Who We Put On Your Property
“Are your guards licensed?” is the wrong question to stop at. Here is what every Reliable Guard officer clears before deployment.
- Background checks on every officer before assignment.
- Drug testing as a condition of employment.
- DPS license verification confirmed for every guard.
- Reference checks required before hiring.
- In-person interviews to confirm they meet company standards.
- Level II training for unarmed officers, per Texas DPS.
- Requalification every two years for armed officers.
- Firearm proficiency retrained every two years for commissioned officers.
CALL US FOR WAREHOUSE AND FACILITY SECURITY
Trained guards protecting your inventory, equipment, and supply chain around the clock.
Connected to Port Houston? Access rules change.
If your facility moves freight tied to Port Houston or sits inside certain restricted industrial zones, there is a credential most generic security pages never mention. Unescorted access to secure or restricted areas requires a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), and the port runs trucks through its Lynx vehicle registration system.
This is not a generic “get licensed” checkbox. It is a specific access-control layer that affects how officers verify people and coordinate at dock doors and yard entries. A security plan for a port-connected site has to account for it, or you risk compliance friction and delays.
Reporting That Ties Back To Your Operation
Security is only worth it if you can see what happened. Our reporting is built to support your own inventory reconciliation, not sit in a binder no one reads.
GPS guard-tour logs
Documented patrol rounds with time and location stamps, so you know each checkpoint was actually covered.
Real-time incident reports
Incidents documented as they happen and shared with your team, not summarized days later.
Supervisor check-ins
Field supervisors verify posts and officer performance throughout every shift.
Dedicated account supervisor
One point of contact who knows your site, your contacts, and your standing instructions.
Shipment & dock logs
Records of deliveries, drivers, and after-hours access that line up with your WMS and inventory checks.
Adaptive coverage
When theft patterns or your operations shift, we adjust the post instead of running the same plan on autopilot.
Flexible Terms, Fast Start
The biggest myth in this industry is that you have to sign a long contract. You do not. We earn the work month after month.
No long-term contract
Weekly, month-to-month, short term, or long term. Your operation sets the terms.
Insurance the same day
Certificate of insurance issued the same day, so you can hit your own compliance deadlines.
Same-day deployment
Officers on your property fast when you have a gap or an active concern.
Tailored to you
Armed or unarmed, foot or vehicle, every post built around what your facility needs.
Warehouse Security Questions
Do your guards require a long-term contract?
No. We do not require long-term contracts. Coverage can be weekly, month-to-month, short term, or long term, whatever fits your operation. It is the single biggest misconception about hiring security, and we are happy to keep it simple.
How fast can you deploy officers?
Same-day deployment is available in many cases, with a certificate of insurance issued the same day. If you have a coverage gap or an active concern, call (713) 783-1344 and we will scope it immediately.
What is the difference between armed and unarmed officers?
Unarmed (Level II, non-commissioned) officers patrol, control access, verify visitors and deliveries, and observe and report. Armed (Level III, commissioned) officers do everything unarmed officers do at a higher deterrence level, and carry added firearms training with proficiency requalification every two years. Armed coverage suits high-value inventory, cash handling, and higher-risk sites.
How much does warehouse security cost in Houston?
As a 2026 Houston market guide, armed officers on a standard post commonly start around $32 to $39 per hour, commercial and warehouse armed posts often run $40 to $70 or more per hour by risk and shift, and full 24/7 armed coverage can land between roughly $18,000 and $45,000 or more per month. Unarmed posts sit lower. Your exact rate depends on armed vs unarmed, fixed post vs patrol, coverage hours, officer count, and site risk. We provide a fixed quote for free.
Do you handle Port Houston or TWIC-controlled access?
If your facility is port-connected or sits in a restricted industrial zone, unescorted access to secure areas requires a valid TWIC, and the port uses the Lynx vehicle registration system for trucks. Tell us about your access requirements and we will scope the right credentials and dock and yard protocols into your proposal.
Are your guards licensed and insured?
Yes. Reliable Guard & Patrol Service is licensed by the Texas DPS (License #B07315701) and carries general liability, workers’ compensation, and commercial auto coverage. A certificate of insurance is available the same day. Every officer’s license is verified before deployment.
Do you provide bilingual security officers?
Yes. Our officers serve in English and Spanish, which keeps communication clear on Houston warehouse and logistics floors and with the people on your property.
Which areas do you serve?
We cover the Houston metro, including Downtown, the Medical Center, the Energy Corridor, Katy, Sugar Land, Pearland, Conroe, Spring, Humble, and The Woodlands. Dispatch runs 24/7, every day including holidays.
Do you offer event, K-9, fire watch, or alarm response services?
No. We focus on armed and unarmed officers for warehouses, distribution centers, construction sites, commercial buildings, vacant properties, and retail shopping centers. We do not offer event security, K-9, fire watch, alarm response, or parking enforcement.
