Armed or unarmed: which one your site actually needs
Most commercial posts are unarmed. Choose armed when the site has cash on hand, high-value or easily resold assets, a history of violent incidents, or a specific credible threat. Otherwise, unarmed deterrence and documentation handle the large majority of commercial loss, which is theft, trespass, and vandalism rather than armed confrontation. Many sites run an unarmed patrol with a written escalation plan and skip the higher armed rate.
One point worth knowing before you compare providers: a Texas security officer has a citizen’s authority, not police powers. Under Code of Criminal Procedure Article 14.01, any person may make a warrantless arrest only for a felony or a breach of the peace committed in their presence, and Article 18.16 lets any person recover stolen property on reasonable grounds. A Level III commission adds a firearm on a high-risk post; it does not widen that authority. What you are paying for is an officer trained to use the limited authority correctly and to document it, so a stop holds up afterward.

No. We staff commercial posts only. We do not do residential, HOA, or events, and we do not run K-9, fire watch, alarm response, or parking enforcement. If that is what you need, we will tell you on the first call.
Are your officers background-checked?
Yes, every one, before they work a post. The same six checks apply on every site: DPS license verification, a fingerprint-based background check, drug testing, an in-person interview to company standard, verified references, and current training for the officer’s level.
